How to Enable Two-Step Verification and Google Authenticator

As cyber threats continue to evolve, it’s crucial to take steps to protect your organisation’s data. Two-step verification, also known as two-factor authentication, is an easy and effective way to add an extra layer of security to your accounts.

Step 1: Download Google Authenticator

Google Authenticator is a free app available for both iOS and Android devices. Start by downloading the app from your device’s app store.

Step 2: Enable Two-Step Verification in Scalefusion

Log in to your Scalefusion Dashboard and navigate to the ‘Settings’ section. Click on ‘Security’ and then ‘Two-Step Verification.’ Click on the ‘Enable Two-Step Verification’ toggle button to turn it on.

Step 3: Scan the QR code

Once you’ve enabled two-step verification, you’ll be prompted to scan a QR code using Google Authenticator. Open the app on your device and select ‘Scan a QR Code.’ Hold your device up to the QR code displayed on your Scalefusion Dashboard and the app will automatically detect it.

Step 4: Enter the verification code

Once you’ve scanned the QR code, the Google Authenticator app will generate a unique six-digit code. Enter this code in the verification field on your Scalefusion Dashboard and click ‘Verify.’ You will then receive a message confirming that two-step verification is enabled for your account.
